Client
Leading European Architectural Lighting Brand
Project Brief
A leading European architectural lighting brand approached us with an initial concept for an outdoor bollard luminaire. Following a series of discussions and an online design workshop, our team produced the first concept sketches based on the client's vision, design requirements, and intended lighting effect. While the design direction was established, the engineering, manufacturing, and product-development solutions still needed to be defined.
The Challenge
The project required the development of a minimalist outdoor luminaire that could maintain its refined aesthetic while meeting demanding requirements for structural integrity, weather resistance, thermal management, and production feasibility. The challenge was to preserve the simplicity of the original concept while ensuring long-term reliability and efficient manufacturing.
Our Approach
Working from the agreed design direction, our engineering team explored multiple design proposals before developing a fully manufacturable product architecture. We evaluated various construction methods, material options, waterproofing solutions, thermal management strategies, and assembly processes to ensure the product could perform reliably in outdoor environments while remaining commercially viable for production.
The Outcome
The final product successfully transformed the original design vision into a production-ready outdoor luminaire suitable for landscape and pathway applications. The project demonstrates our ability to collaborate with industry-leading lighting brands, translating early concepts into market-ready products while preserving the integrity of the original design intent.
