A growing European lighting brand engaged our team to develop a contemporary floor lamp collection from an initial design brief. Through industrial design, engineering development, and smart lighting integration, the project evolved into a family of three floor lamps and a matching table lamp. This project highlights how we act as an extension of our clients' product development teams.
03: From a Single Concept to a Complete Series
Starting from an early wall lamp concept, we worked closely with the client to refine the design, engineer a manufacturable solution, and develop a scalable product platform. What began as a single luminaire was ultimately expanded into a cohesive collection spanning wall, table, and pendant formats. This project showcases our ability to help growing lighting brands build entire product families from a single idea.
The functionality and finish of a lighting fixture rely on a symphony of smaller, precision-made parts, all of which we expertly produce through ZD International’s punching operations.
We manufacture the essential hardware that brings a design to life, from robust adjustable mounting brackets and engineered thermal management solutions like heat sinks and cooling fins, to the subtle yet critical aesthetic and optical elements. This includes light-guiding baffles, anti-glare louvers, decorative trim rings, and perforated vent panels that balance airflow with ingress protection. Each component is punched with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring clean edges, consistent geometries, and flawless repeatability. This comprehensive capability allows us to supply all the necessary pieces for final assembly, ensuring every part aligns perfectly for optimal performance, safety, and a cohesive final appearance.
